Eileen elizabeth Trevor is my nan she was born in Brentford and was the oldest of 13 children. Has 2 daughters Linda and Loraine and 4 granchildren, me being the oldest. My nan was my best friend(besides my mum) and the dad I never had because whenever I had an arguement with mum nan used to make everything okay again.
One of the things nan always used to say if I was upset was "don't cry eat your cake" even though there was no cake there but it always stopped me crying.

Although I'm the oldest granchild I always felt I was nans favourite I was born 3 months early weighting 2 pounds and nan was always very protective of me. If mum couldn't find me I was always next door in nans.

Sadly nan was told she had Lung Cancer. When she got the news the doctors said she had a good chance of pulling through, from that day nan always kept her fingers crossed. She had the operation and made a good recovery and was given the all clear. A few months later nan started to feel ill and she kept telling us the cancer had come back even though she hadn't been told this. The cancer had returned and gone up to the brain, this time there was nothing that could be done the cancer had spreed all over her body.

Nan died at home with all her family around her and she still had her fingers crossed. Nan was in so much pain and the illness took all her dignity and independence.

R.I.P nan love you always, never forget you. Say Hi to grandad Jo and Wayne and look after them like you looked after us until we meet again.
